When we trace down the record of Jonas Brothers, it could be pointed out the Nick is the one who started it all. The Jonas Brothers originally started with a solo singing career for Nick.   He started at the tender age of 6 when he was discovered singing in a barbershop while keeping waiting for his mother who is getting a hair cut.  At the of 7 he become a performer in Broadway musicals such as A Christmas Carol in 2000 as Tiny Tim and Scrooge at age of eight, Annie Get Your Gun as Little Jake in 2001, Beauty and the Beast as Chip in 2002, Les Misérables as Gavroche in 2003, The Sound of Music as Kurt and the Paper Mill Playhouse.

When he was 10, while performing on Beauty and the Beast at Broadway he wrote a song together with his fathe Paul Kevin, Sr. entitled Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer).  Nick performed this song in annual Broadway “Equity Fights AIDS” album that same year.  The song was played to Christian Radio and it become popular on Record & Radio’s Christian Adult Contemporary Chart. It was followed by the single “Dear God” in November 2004.  The single was supposed to be followed by the self-titled album called Nicholas Jonas but was not pushed through however it has a few limited release.  Nick and the rest of the Brothers had written several songs for the album.

Nick together with Kevin and Joe has their debut appearance in television on August 17, 2007 when they perform as guest star in Hannah Montana episode Me and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas where it made an all-time record of 10.7 million viewers and becomes the unbroken record (up to this posting time) of the most watched cable TV series episode ever!
The Jonas Brothers are enjoying their world-wide success targeting the younger audiences and as a result they are hailed as the number 9 richest pop acts of 2008 with net income of over sixty-two million dollars.  In coming May this year Jonas Brothers will be starring on their J.O.N.A.S! (Junior Operative Networking as Spies) an original Disney Channel TV series.

Interesting Facts:

• Nick (along with his brothers) wears a purity ring.  It symbolizes “a promise to ourselves and to God that we’ll stay pure till marriage.” They also reportedly abstain from alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.

• Nick was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at the age of 13 and still wears an OmniPod insulin pump to help him manage his diabetes.

• Change for the Children Foundation. Partnering with five different charities, their goal is to raise money and awareness for diabetes.

• He has dated Disney stars Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.
