Princess Protection Program

Disney Channel is once again lining up another Disney Channel Original Movie for us to enjoy.  Disney Channel Original the same production who give us blockbuster and totally unforgettable movies like High School Musical, Camp Rock, Hannah Montana: The Movie Ice Princess and many others.  Coming June this Disney Original Movie will give us another blockbuster original movie the Princess Protection Program.


The Princess Protection Program stars the two uprising teenage Disney stars, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez on the leading role.  The TV movie is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel in June.  Princess Protection Program is directed by Allison Liddi.

On the movie Demi Lovato plays as role of a royal princess name Princess Rosalinda.  When their tiny country was invaded by a dictator, Princess Rosalinda was taken into custody by the Princess Protection Program for her safety.  For her protection, the agent named Mason, hides the Princess in his home in Wisconsin.  Princess Rosalinda became Rosie, and with the help of his daughter Carter, they taught the Princess how behave like an ordinary normal teenager.

On the other hand Selena Gomez plays the role of Carter Mason, the daughter of Agent Mason.  She is an insecure tomboy, Carter works at a local bait shop after school and dreams of going to the school dance with her crush, Donny, the school hunk. Rosie quickly becomes popular at school which Carter must learn to accept but the two also form a close bond as Carter helps Rosie transform into a normal teenager and Rosie shows Carter how to find the princess within herself.

The movie will feature the song “One And The Same”, a duet between Demi and Selena as well as a song from Demi’s debut album, the song is entitled “Two Worlds Collide”.  The Two Worlds Collide is originally written by Demi and Jonas Brothers for Selena.  Princess Protection Program or PPP is rumored to be premiering on Friday, June 26 this year but the Disney did not confirm the date yet.  According to Wikipedia is will be shown first in France on May 20, 2009 (needed to be confirmed too).
