The Wiz-tober event in Disney Channel will officially begin in October 1, and in line with this special Halloween Celebration Disney Channel had launched a special program wherein kids can join. It is called the “Call In Your Haunt”. Call in Your Haunt is a sort of “contest” where fans can record their own spooky haunted house sound effects. Select entries can be heard online in the Wizards of Waverly Place Haunted
House, and will air on Disney Channel during the programming event.
You can have the printable version of Call in Your Haunt instruction and guidelines at Disneychannel.com, but if you have slow internet connection it takes ages to download because of the awesome special effects embedded on the page. If you’re in hurry to get it, I provide a copy below where you can simply copy and paste to your word processor and hit the print button.

Call in Your Haunt Guidelines

For the Parent or Guardian:

Your child would like to call in a spooky sound effect for Disney Channel’s Wiz-tober. Since this may be played on television, over the internet or by other means, we will need verbal consent to use their voice recording. To give your consent, we will need you to first confirm that you’re the parent or guardian. Then, you’ll have 30 seconds to provide your:

-Name
-Address
-Phone number
-Name of your child or children*

Your information is for consent only. It will not be used for marketing or promotional use. After you’ve finished this step, Press 2 and then give the phone to your child to record their haunted sound.

*Please note that consent is linked to your phone number; we can only accept messages from children at this phone number who were included in your original consent. Also, due to recent legislation, Maine residents are not eligible to participate in this promotion. We apologize for any inconvenience.



For the Child:

Here’s your chance to record a spooky sound that may be used on Disney Channel or online at DisneyChannel.com. Just choose a sound you’d like to record by pressing the number that goes with it.

Press 1 to record a Cat Screech
Press 2 to record a Witch Cackle
Press 3 to record a Mummy Moan
Press 4 to record a Wolf Howl
Press 5 to record a Monster Growl
Press 6 to record a Scary Scream
Press 7 to record a Creaky Door
Press 8 to record a Ghostly Moan

After the beep, you’ll have 10 seconds to record the sound you selected. Remember, be sure to speak clearly and loudly.

Since your Haunted Sound may be used on television or the internet, please do not give us any personal information. No last names, addresses or phone numbers, please!

Just give us:

-Your first name
-Your age
-The state you’re calling from
-The exact haunted sound you selected
-Then press #

After you’re done, you can:

-Press 1 to hear your recording
-Press 2 to submit your recording
-Press 3 to re-record
