Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a realistic fiction novel written by Jeff Kinney. The book was originally on FunBrain, but when it was adapted into a print book, Jeff Kinney decided to split it into a series.

The book is a sensation to teen and tween readers that it becomes a best seller and stayed for 41 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list for children’s books. And now this coming March 19, 2010, the Diary of the Wimpy Kid will invade the silver screen.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie is a mix live-action/animated feature film directed by Thor Freudenthal. The movie stars Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, Rachael Harris, Steve Zahn, Devon Bostick, Conner and Owen Fielding, Chloë Moretz, Karan Brar, among others.

Synopsis:

The movie narrate s the adventures of middle school student Greg Heffley and his best friend Rowley Jefferson over the course of an academic year, as told through Greg’s journal and hand-drawn cartoons. Greg thinks that middle school is the worst idea ever invented. The two best friends also have to get through some difficulties to get through middle school, such as surviving their weird neighborhood kid Fregley, having to wrestle a very tough girl named Patty Farrell, having to play outdoor Physical Ed games without shirts on, avoiding being killed by Greg’s older brother, Rodrick, getting very embarrassed by Greg’s mother, Susan, and, the worst of all, trying to avoid getting the infamous cheese touch, which was started by Darren Walsh, and Greg would have gotten it if it weren’t for his friend Chirag Gupta.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie is “must-watch” film for kids and kids at heart who wants to relive their middle school experience.
