Princess Protection Program 2?

Whoops!!! Stop right there! This is not an official announcement from Disney but just a wishful thinking on my part. I really, really wish that there would be a Princess Protection Program 2. I want to see Rosie and Carter going to some adventure of being a teenager. I guess everyone who had seen the Princess Protection Program would agree with me that the movie is worthy to have a part 2.

On the premiere of Princess Protection Program last June 26, it garnered a whooping 8.5 million viewers placing the PPP in the third place as most watch Disney Channel Original Movie. On that same night Princess Protection Program had made the Disney Channel the number one channel for prime time viewers on Friday, taking the spot from NBC. The Disney Channel was over NBC by about 1 million viewers. The Princess Protection Program has also beaten the premiere of the new season of The Closer in TNT who recorded 7.1 million viewers.


Why should Disney consider having a sequel for Princess Protection Program? Here’s what I thought. PPP is now officially the third most watched Disney Channel Original Movie, next to High School Musical 2 and Camp Rock, and both the High School Musical and Camp Rock got sequels. Another reason, in the recently concluded 2009 Teen Choice Awards, the Princess Protection Program won as Choice Summer TV Show and Selena Gomez (Carter) won the Choice Summer TV Star Female for the Princess Protection Program. This simply shows that the Princess Protection Program is well-accepted from the teen audiences and it is really worthy to have a sequel, the Princess Protection Program 2.

Few days, specifically 11 days from today, Princess Protection Program will premiere on Disney Channel. Princess Protection Program is the latest original movie from Disney Channel. Its stars the two hottest female tween stars namely Demi Lovato of Sonny With A Chance and Selena Gomez of Wizards of Waverly Place. PPP is set to show on June 26 as a part of Disney’s Summer of Stars special Programming block.

On the movie Demi Lovato plays as role of a royal princess name Princess Rosalinda. When their tiny country was invaded by a dictator, Princess Rosalinda was taken into custody by the Princess Protection Program for her safety. While Selena Gomez plays the role of Carter Mason, the daughter of Agent Mason. Rosie quickly becomes popular at school which Carter must learn to accept but the two also form a close bond as Carter helps Rosie transform into a normal teenager and Rosie shows Carter how to find the princess within herself.

Princess Protection Program is set to premier of June 26 (Friday) on Disney Channel. The movie stars BFF Demi Lovato of Sonny With A Chance and Selena Gomez of Wizards of Waverly Place. The movie is all about the two different girls living in the entirely different world but found love and friendship in each other’s company. Like High School Musical, Camp Rock and all other Disney Channel Original Movie Princess Protection Program is expected to be a hit among tweens and teens.

The features the song “One And The Same”, a duet between Demi and Selena and the “Two Worlds Collide” by Demi Lovato which is included in her album Don’t Forget. “Two Worlds Collide” was originally written by Jonas Brothers for Selena Gomez but it is Demi who recorded the song.

Summer of Stars, this is the Disney’s Channel summer theme for this year. Summer of the Stars program will begin May 30, 2009 (Saturday) and will end on August this year. Disney Channel is known for its original sitcoms geared toward teenagers, and sometimes airs its original cartoons geared more towards upper-elementary and middle school age children. That is why Disney Channel design a new programming block each summer since 2005.

This year’s summer theme Summer of Stars will line up new episodes and uninterrupted movies airings. On the Disney’s regular schedule will air episodes of The Suite Life on Deck, Phineas and Ferb and Wizards of Waverly Place will take over the Fridays slot on top of several feature films. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will be aired uninterrupted on June 19.

Saturdays on Disney’s Summer Stars will have double movies programming. This coming June 2 the back-to-back High School Musical and High School Musical 2 will be aired. Others movies like Happy Feet, Another Cinderella Story and Ratatouille will scheduled on later Saturdays.

Coming on Sundays starting June 7 there are new episodes for “Sonny with a Chance“, “Hannah Montana” and “J.O.N.A.S!“. New Disney Channel Original Movies are lined up for this summer particularly the Princess Protection Program which stars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie. Princess Protection Program will premier on June 26 while Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie will be shown sometime in August before the summer ends.

Princess Protection Program is the newest telemovie (movie made for TV) offering of Disney Channel Original Movie. Princess Protection Program stars the two of the most bankable young stars of Disney
Channel namely Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Two Worlds Collide is one to the two officiall soundtrack of the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie the Princess Protection Program which stars two of the brigtest teen stars today.  Demi Lovato of Sonny With A Chance is teamed up with her BFF Selena Gomez of Wizards of Wavery Place.  The other sound track for Princess Protection Program is the One And The Sam, which is sang as duet by Demi and Selena

The Two Worlds Collide is written by Jonas Brothers for Selena but it ended to be sang by Demi for her album entitled Don’t Forget. The other official soundtrack (OST) of Princess Protection Program is the One And The Same which is sung by Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.

Princess Protection Program is the newest movie offering of Disney Channel Original Movie.  The movie is to premier on June 26 this year on Disney Channel.  Princess Protection Program (PPP) stars the two uprising teen stars of Disney namely Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.

Demi Lovato who is currently playing the role of Sonny in Disney’s TV series Sonny Got A Chance plays the role of Pricess Rosalinda in this movie.  While Selena Gomez who plays the role of Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place plays the role of Carter Mason, an ordinary teenage girls who become the friend of Princess Rosalinda in the movie.

Disney Channel is once again lining up another Disney Channel Original Movie for us to enjoy.  Disney Channel Original the same production who give us blockbuster and totally unforgettable movies like High School Musical, Camp Rock, Hannah Montana: The Movie Ice Princess and many others.  Coming June this Disney Original Movie will give us another blockbuster original movie the Princess Protection Program.


The Princess Protection Program stars the two uprising teenage Disney stars, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez on the leading role.  The TV movie is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel in June.  Princess Protection Program is directed by Allison Liddi.

On the movie Demi Lovato plays as role of a royal princess name Princess Rosalinda.  When their tiny country was invaded by a dictator, Princess Rosalinda was taken into custody by the Princess Protection Program for her safety.  For her protection, the agent named Mason, hides the Princess in his home in Wisconsin.  Princess Rosalinda became Rosie, and with the help of his daughter Carter, they taught the Princess how behave like an ordinary normal teenager.

On the other hand Selena Gomez plays the role of Carter Mason, the daughter of Agent Mason.  She is an insecure tomboy, Carter works at a local bait shop after school and dreams of going to the school dance with her crush, Donny, the school hunk. Rosie quickly becomes popular at school which Carter must learn to accept but the two also form a close bond as Carter helps Rosie transform into a normal teenager and Rosie shows Carter how to find the princess within herself.

The movie will feature the song “One And The Same”, a duet between Demi and Selena as well as a song from Demi’s debut album, the song is entitled “Two Worlds Collide”.  The Two Worlds Collide is originally written by Demi and Jonas Brothers for Selena.  Princess Protection Program or PPP is rumored to be premiering on Friday, June 26 this year but the Disney did not confirm the date yet.  According to Wikipedia is will be shown first in France on May 20, 2009 (needed to be confirmed too).
