The story of The Last song was based upon the novel written by the best-selling author Nicholas Sparks with the same title. Sparks, is the same guy who wrote best-selling books “A Walk To Remember” and “The Notebook” that become blockbuster movie as well.
The plot of the Last Song is centered on the rebellious seventeen-year-old Veronica “Ronnie” Miller whose life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Tybee Island in Georgia. After three years Ronnie becomes as rebellious and distant anyone could get. Ronnie is a genius in classical piano but after the divorce or her parents Ronnie now rejects the instrument in favor of partying with her friends and has not spoken to her father since he left. Ronnie has been accepted to Juilliard School but she refuses to attend.
